Selling our Mum’s home was never going to be easy as she was definitely not keen. My first task was introducing Steve and Lisa to my brother who was leaning towards using agents from the area - however he changed his mind after meeting Steve and Lisa; listening to them talk about their work style and in particular their communication and marketing plans along with their successes in other areas.

Meeting Mum was next and they nailed it with their honest, caring approach – so much so my Mum told me I was lucky to have such nice friends.

The whole process was handled professionally from organising times around Mum for photos to be taken, the open homes and latterly building inspections.

Steve and Lisa gave us total confidence throughout the process – with phone calls immediately after the open homes, regular weekly catch up meetings and follow up emails.  We knew what was happening every step of the way, were offered options and given information to help us make the judgement calls. They let no one get away – they knew the interested potential parties and kept them updated too.

Their auctioneer was well informed and complemented Steve and Lisa on the professional front. On the day there were 5 bidders and the process went smoothly and quickly with the sale completed there and then.

This could have been a much more stressful exercise but Steve and Lisa made it all so much easier. We can’t thank them enough – great job and great result.

Kay and I recently embarked upon the process of selling our home in Remuera. While we have bought and sold homes throughout our lives we had never sold by auction before, and never in such a dynamic and unpredictable market as Auckland.
Thankfully we had Steve and Lisa to manage the process from inception to successful conclusion.

In simple terms, Steve and Lisa were responsible for getting buyers to the auction and we were responsible for getting the house ready to sell – but Steve and Lisa contributed so much more.

In the early stages they set realistic expectations, explained the process and outlined a clear path to readiness, then they coached and cajoled us, and even sourced the resources we needed to get the job done. Everything from house staging to finding a handyman for painting and repairs.

As the auction date neared we received constant updates on progress and their calmness and obvious experience and professionalism kept us reassured the process was tracking as planned.

The auction day itself is nerve wracking, but Steve and Lisa produced from their seemingly endless resources the perfect auctioneer and liaised with him to develop the strategy that worked for us as we approached the hour.

Needless to say the final outcome exceeded our expectations, and even then Steve and Lisa continued to work for us resolving the myriad of minor details.

I live in Australia and had an investment house in Auckland that I needed to sell.  I mentioned this to the contractor that looks after the maintenance of the property and they recommended Lisa and Steve to me.   When working remotely, you need a good agent, from my first meeting with Lisa and Steve I felt good about them doing what I needed.

Firstly from a planning view point, Lisa and Steve were very accommodating and well organised. They happily worked around the dates and times that I was in New Zealand for meetings, even those that were over Christmas.  I needed a company that would just take control and make it happen with a tight time frame, Steve and Lisa did this.  They worked with my property manager, not the easiest person in the world to work with, and the tenant who obviously needed to be respected to make it all happen.

The end result of all they did was very good, I achieved above my reserve at the auction, it had made reserve and bidding had stopped and yet the auctioneer whom Lisa & Steve used was still able to get me more money with one on one negotiation.  What more could I ask for.

Even though my timing was not particularly convenient for them, as they had important commitments overseas a few days later, Lisa very graciously rose to the occasion, interrupting a very special family gathering in order to view my property. I was impressed when they presented a very professional Appraisal a couple of days later, recommending dates for Open Homes, Auction, etc., with all the relevant details included and organized - only requiring Vendor approval. Lisa and Steve left an excellent professional support team behind, which enabled unhindered progress in their absence.

From the time we first made contact with Lisa and Steve until settlement date the Stones were busy ensuring that the whole sales process went smoothly. Their presentation of my home in their videos and sales brochures delighted me, the advertising, photographs and comments were excellent and they did not attempt to raise my expectations by giving me an inflated appraisal.

I appreciated his friendly approach and enthusiastic comments about the property, which banished all apprehension.
